MARK e-mail mistake

MARK: Hey Ali, did you check out that email I sent you – the one about stupid
Peter, saying how stupid he is?

ALI: What email? I logged on ages ago but I didn't get an email about stupid
Peter…

MARK: That's weird…I'm sure I sent it to you… hang on a minute while I
check…

MARK: Oh no… I've really messed up… I sent the email about stupid Peter…to
stupid Peter!!!

ALI: Don't panic. Maybe he hasn't picked it up yet. You could try to delete
it before he sees it…

MARK: Right. If you keep him talking, I'll go on his computer and get rid of it.

ALI: Morning stu… Peter! Err… could you just go over these figures with
me?

MARK: Phew… I deleted the email….I think I got away with it!

ALI: Err…Mark… The email you sent about stupid Peter… it's just popped
up in my inbox!!!

MARK: That's impossible… I just deleted it! How can it turn up in your email?

ALI: Mark… you didn't delete that email… you sent it on to the whole
department!

PETER: Mark, would you step into my office please? There's something we need
to sort out.

This week, have you ever been jealous?

In London, one woman remembers being madly jealous when her husband danced with another woman.

Another woman was envious of her friend's chance to travel round the world.

And one man was happy that his new flat had a balcony, until he visited friends in the countryside. Suddenly, he was jealous of their huge garden.

Did you know?

Fact

Babies as young as five months old can be jealous.

Language tip

Despite how it looks, we pronounce the word jealousy 'jellussee'.

Cultural tip

Green is the colour of jealousy and envy. We even call it the 'green-eyed monster'.
